At the UCP AGM, Premier Danielle Smith announced she would be introducing a bill to refuse to enforce or prosecute under the federal program. Here is what the province is planning to do. Clarification: At the 1:10 mark of this video, University of Alberta criminologist Temitope Oriola references AK-47s. While this gun is already prohibited in Canada and is not part of the federal buyback program, Oriola used it in his example because AK-47s are well known.
