A Maple Ridge food bank says it ran out of fresh food an hour before closing last week. Staff say it couldn't come at a worse time, with demand at record highs and donations at record lows. CORRECTION: A previous version of this story said the Friends In Need Food Bank was forced to turn away clients after running out of food. In fact, clients received canned food because fresh food was unavailable.
