Zach joined the CBS LA news team in May 2025, bringing his dynamic storytelling and versatile reporting skills to several newscasts on weekdays and weekends. You can catch his reporting across the Inland Empire and LA region mostly at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.

In Los Angeles, Zach has covered a wide range of high-impact stories, from immigration raid protests to the Dodgers' triumphant 2025 World Series championship season.

A Southern California native, Zach grew up playing travel baseball, soccer and golf, then attended college at Orange Coast College and California State University, Channel Islands - where he spent many mornings hiking and surfing.

Zach then launched his journalism career in his hometown of Palm Springs as an intern at KESQ, where he honed his skills in local news. After stops in Columbia, Missouri and Sacramento, Zach landed at CBS LA.

Boetto is a lifelong Chargers fan and a dedicated Angels fan. Go bolts!
