Welcome to AWS Foundation for Senior Managers, a foundational course designed for business leaders, senior managers, decision-makers, project managers, and professionals who want to understand cloud computing, AWS infrastructure, migration strategies, and architectural best practices.

This course focuses on how organizations use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to modernize infrastructure, improve scalability, optimize operational efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. The course introduces learners to cloud computing concepts, cloud service models, deployment models, AWS global infrastructure, migration strategies, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework. You’ll begin by exploring cloud computing fundamentals, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and different cloud deployment models such as public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. You’ll then learn how AWS provides scalable and globally distributed cloud infrastructure through Regions and Availability Zones, along with guidance on selecting AWS Regions based on business and technical requirements. The course also introduces the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Shared Responsibility Model, migration strategies using the 6 Rs framework, and AWS migration tools used by organizations during cloud transformation journeys. Additionally, you’ll explore the AWS Well-Architected Framework and gain foundational knowledge of its six pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability.
