Great project. The only suggestion I have is that it could have been shorter. He spent too much time walking through redundant tasks.

I hadn't used this kind of software before, and this gave me a solid intro, gave me an idea of how I could apply it to my own needs, and the instructor was great!

Frequently asked questions

It means setting up and organizing project work in Asana so tasks, subtasks, sections, and people are connected in one place. The course focuses on the fundamentals of turning a project into trackable work that can be viewed, updated, and managed as it moves forward.

You would use it when a piece of work has multiple tasks, owners, or stages and needs to stay organized over time. In this course, the emphasis is on using Asana when you want a clear structure for execution, collaboration, and progress tracking rather than a one-off to-do list.

It sits between deciding what a project involves and following the work through completion. The course shows how Asana helps turn plans into a connected process where tasks are grouped, assigned, tracked, and adjusted as the project moves ahead.

A separate task list mainly records items to do, while Asana organizes those items inside a shared project structure with sections, ownership, and progress views. The course emphasizes this connected way of working, including coordination through dependencies and team communication, rather than treating each task as an isolated note.

It does not appear to assume prior Asana experience, since the course is beginner level and focused on fundamentals. What matters more is being ready to follow a guided hands-on workflow and work with basic project ideas such as tasks, sections, and collaboration.

The course centers on Asana as the main project management platform. Learners practice structuring work into projects, tasks, subtasks, and sections, then managing it through collaboration features, different views, and basic tracking, sorting, and filtering.

You will practice creating a project, organizing tasks and subtasks into sections, and working with team members around shared execution. You will also use comments, files, dependencies, and different project views to sort, filter, and track work more clearly.
