JMeter is built in Java, so Java must be installed to run it. However, you don’t need to know Java programming to use JMeter’s GUI and features.

JMeter offers multi-threading, real-time reporting, test result visualization, protocol support (HTTP, FTP, JDBC, etc.), and script recording for test automation.
