About this Guided Project
In this 1.5-hour guided, project-based course, you will learn the basics of using Obsidian, a powerful and flexible note-taking application, for journaling. We will do this by taking on the role of a Marketing Manager at a mid-sized tech startup, utilizing Obsidian's Daily Notes feature for efficient journaling, task tracking, and project management.
Through a practical, hands-on scenario, you will build a personalized system for tracking daily tasks, documenting insights from meetings, and reflecting on progress and challenges in a marketing project. You will learn how to effectively use daily notes, links and backlinks, tags, search queries and graph view to journal daily, link your daily notes to ongoing projects, and review your tasks and reflections for insights. By the end of this project, you will have a fully functional setup in Obsidian to streamline your daily journaling and enhance your personal productivity. This is an intermediate project-based course which should take approximately 1.5 hours to finish. Throughout the course, you will learn how to sync shared vaults for the training team, enable and configure plugins to facilitate collaboration, create interactive and collaborative visuals using Excalidraw to design curriculum structures and program plans, manage task assignments, deadlines, and progress using the Daily Note, Tasks and Kanban plugins. Track task progress and assignment using Dataview, ensuring tasks are assigned correctly and deadlines are met. This course is aimed at learners who are looking to implement Obsidian as a customizable solution for project management and team collaboration. There are no specific prerequisites, but a basic understanding of Obsidian will be helpful.
