There is 1 module in this course

Embark on a transformative journey through our comprehensive course designed to master the Java Object-Oriented Approach. This course meticulously covers the essentials, from declaring and instantiating Java objects, including nested class objects, to understanding the complete object lifecycle and garbage collection. Delve into the creation of classes and records, mastering instance and static fields, methods, and constructors. Our expertly crafted lessons will guide you through implementing overloading, understanding variable scopes, and applying encapsulation to create immutable objects. Gain proficiency in inheritance, including abstract and sealed classes, and enhance your skills in method overriding and polymorphism. Explore the power of interfaces, functional interfaces, and enumerations, and learn to utilize private, static, and default interface methods. By the end of this course, you will have a robust understanding of Java's object-oriented principles, empowering you to develop sophisticated and efficient Java applications. Join us to elevate your programming expertise and stay ahead in the dynamic world of Java development.

This module addresses the objectives listed in the grouping: Utilizing Java Object-Oriented Approach. Our investigation of this material is grouped in a way that I hope makes better sense from a learning perspective. It does not exactly map to the objectives. That said, all the objectives in the group are covered, and they are: Declare and instantiate Java objects, including nested class objects, and explain the object lifecycle, including creation, reassigning, references, and the garbage collection. Create classes and records, and define and use instance and static fields and methods, constructors, and instance and static initializers. Implement overloading, including variable argument methods. Understand variable scopes. Use local variable type inference, apply encapsulation, and make objects immutable. Implement inheritance, including abstract and sealed classes. Override methods, including that of object class. Implement polymorphism and differentiate object type, versus reference type. Perform type casting. Identify object types using instance of operator and pattern matching. Create and use interfaces. Identify functional interfaces, and utilize private, static, and default interface methods. Create and use enumerations with fields, methods, and constructors.
