Frequently asked questions

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to design and prototype user experiences and interfaces. This includes those who want to become UI/UX Designers, Front-end, Web and Mobile Developers. To get the most from this course, you need to have a basic understanding of UX/UI principles and design.

Although no prior hands-on design experience is required, it is recommended that you have an understanding of fundamental design principles which you can gain by completing the previous courses in the IBM UI/UX Designer Professional Certificate or the SkillUp UI/UX Design Specialization.

Prototyping enables designers to visualize and test their ideas before full-scale development. It facilitates early identification of issues, promotes user feedback, and allows for rapid iteration, ultimately leading to a more refined and user-friendly product.

Yes. Throughout the course, you will work extensively with Figma, a popular industry-standard design tool, to develop wireframes and interactive prototypes, thereby acquiring valuable, real-world technical skills.

To access the course materials, assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience when you enroll in a course. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid. The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead.
