Know Before You Go

At the Frick, art is presented within the historic rooms of one of New York City’s last great Gilded Age mansions. To preserve this unique domestic atmosphere, we do not use wall labels in the galleries, and photography is permitted only in the Garden Court.

During your visit and beyond, there are many ways to learn about our buildings, history, and works on view, including our free mobile guide and introductory video.

Find out more below and in our FAQs, and make a day of your visit with our shopping and dining experiences. We look forward to welcoming you!
