⇱ Funtoo Linux: What Comes Next

The existing Funtoo Linux project has ended and the community project has been officially disbanded.

A new evolution of Funtoo's core ideas is being built from the ground up, unencumbered by legacy toolchains, with a target for an initial public release in early 2026.

I have chosen to preserve the Funtoo wiki and its key technologies as a legacy asset, ensuring the valuable work from this era remains accessible.

As part of this work, I may also modernize and release some of Funtoo's key technologies as independent, foundational projects that support this new ecosystem.

I'm grateful for the history we've built, and I look forward to sharing what comes next.
