IIT-JEE Exam Experience 2024

Choosing a career path is a pivotal moment in life, and for me, it began during 12th grade when I scored 77% in my board exams. My curiosity for technology and problem-solving naturally drew me towards engineering. Initially, I considered joining a private college right after school, but my father had a different perspective. He encouraged me to attempt the JEE exam, a gateway to India’s top engineering institutions.

Since I hadn’t prepared extensively for JEE during 12th grade, my father suggested I take a drop year to focus entirely on preparation. It was a difficult decision, filled with uncertainty, but I decided to give it my best shot.

I enrolled at Chaitanya Institute, Hauz Khas, Delhi, a renowned coaching center for JEE aspirants. The drop year was demanding, requiring discipline, dedication, and hard work.

What Made a Difference

The Results

When the JEE results were announced, I scored 77 percentile with a rank of 2,60,000. While this rank wasn’t enough for an IIT or NIT, it opened doors to reputed private colleges through counseling.

Through the AKTU counseling process, I secured admission to GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, one of the top private colleges under AKTU University.
