Each section comprises of 20 questions. The total number of questions is 100(20*5) and the duration is 3 hours.

SCORING CRITERIA:

+1 is granted for a right answer. A negative marking of -1/3 is cut for every wrong answer. Hence, it is important to understand which questions are to be answered to avoid negative marks.

Although the cut-off and ranking varies every year based on the difficulty of paper, number of applicants and other factors, yet considering previous year marks, an overall score of (40-60) out of 100 is considered a good score.

Like most of the competitive exams, the percentile score plays a key role. The percentile is generated after normalizing the actual marks relatively with the number of applicants.

PREPARATION STRATEGY:

In comparison to other MBA Exams like CAT,MAT,CMAT the difficulty level of this examination is considered relatively easy. The questions usually range from a moderate to difficult level and students with a dedicated strategy can surely crack the exam with a high percentile.

-> Understand the syllabus: Understanding the syllabus and pattern of the paper is crucial.

-> Practice question sets to improve reading speed and accuracy: This can be done with sample question books of any publications. Practicing questions from any such book would suffice.

-> Improving on English and vocabulary: The pattern of this exam is such that with a good critical thinking and English vocabulary, students can attempt 3 sections out of 5. Hence enhancing English skills would surely give an edge over others.

-> Previous year question papers: Attempting 4-5 previous year papers and analyzing the questions itself can guarantee a 90 percentile above performance.

With a good strategy and 2-3 hours per day, students can easily score above 95 percentile with 30-45 days of preparation.
