Post-matric scholarships have been launched nationwide for students of backward classes. Like other scholarship schemes, the post-matric scholarship for minorities is also popular for its benefits. The post-matric scholarship is a great initiative of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India for the students belonging to the minority category, pursuing a post-matric course. It aims to provide financial support to students for their higher studies in a notified institution in India in a government or private school. This may include residential Government institutes and eligible private institutes recognized by the State Government and Union Territory Administration concerned.
It is important to note that a minimum of 30% of the scholarship is reserved for girl students. In case, there is no sufficient number of eligible female students available, then the balance earmarked scholarships may be awarded to eligible boy students.
Post Matric scholarship is provided to the students who are studying in any Govt. or Private institutions in India. Post Matric scholarship is available for students who are studying from class 11 to Ph.D.

The scholarship will cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes XI and XII level which also include Polytechnics and other courses.

The following documents are needed to apply for the Post Matric Scholarship application.
If a candidate was already awarded Post Matric Scholarship benefits in the previous year, he/she has to renew his/her application during the next academic year. He/she should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the exams.
Once the online application procedure is completed, the institute will verify the application forms and then submit them for further verification. The final result of the Post Matric Scholarship will be announced by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Applicants can check their results on the official website of NSP, scholarships.gov.in. Selected candidates will get the scholarship amount directly to their bank accounts.
