Amadeus Interview Experience for Fresher

Last Updated : 24 Sep, 2024

Amadeus conducted an on-campus recruitment drive with multiple stages aimed at identifying candidates with strong technical and problem-solving skills. The process was well-structured, focusing on both technical and behavioral aspects.

  • Education: Bachelors in Non circuit branch from Tier 1 College
  • Company: Amadeus Labs
  • Title/Level: SE1 (G7)
  • Location: Bangalore

This is a screening round on the basis of CGPA >=6.5

Round 1 :

This is an Online Assessment which has 2 questions.

  • The first one was similar to the Projectile motion question where they gave some parameters like initial velocity, and angle and gave some unknowns to find the answer.
  • The second question was a string-based dp question, I could not remember actually. None of the guys whoever has attempted this test solved that question.

I felt it was difficult then.

Round 2:

It is to check our reading and communication skills. It went for 1hr. 2days after the coding test, I got a link for this test.

This was also a knockout round.

Round 3 :

After self-introduction, he asked questions on OOP for some 10 minutes on the topics along with pseudocode on Encapsulation, Compile and Runtime Polymorphism, Friend functions, and the Static keyword.

Then he gave the Longest Common Subsequence question. I knew this very well, but I still thought for a while about how to explain it best. I went on to convey my approach and wrote recursive code and further optimization with bottom-up code.

This went for another 30 minutes. He was satisfied. Then he asked me to write pseudocode using DFS and BFS to solve the Number of Islands question.

First, he asked me what the difference is between DFS and BFS. He also asked for the time and space complexities of the approaches I gave.

Round 4 :

Later, he asked me to wait on the call and then sent in an HR representative.

It was more to check our communication skills and whether I was able to express my thoughts clearly to the HR rep.

The questions revolved around teamwork and different situations among team members, as well as some more general questions about self-motivation, etc.

This went on for around 20 minutes.

After two days, the results were out and I got selected.

P.S. They offered me a 6-month internship with a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position afterwards.

Though there are some reviews in the internet about that company saying they use old tech stack, but the current requirement for

which they have taken us was for a ML project. So even if someone wish to switch later, this learning would come to help.
