Amadeus Labs Interview Experience | On-Campus | 2025 Batch

Last Updated : 25 Sep, 2024

The recruitment process for Amadeus Labs began with a pre-placement talk that provided an overview of the company and the roles available. The talk was informative, highlighting the company's innovative projects and its work culture.

Round 1: MCQs and Coding Questions

Time Duration: 90 minutes

Content: 30 MCQs and 2 coding questions

The MCQs tested knowledge across various programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python, with a focus on logic and syntax.

Coding Question 1: candle Burning ( have to make candles from the wax formed)

Coding Question 2:Power Limit (after how many units of time , does the engine stops)

I managed to solve both coding questions and was confident after this round. The results were announced the next day, and I was shortlisted for the second round

Round 2: SHL Platform Test

Time Duration: 60 minutes

The SHL test was divided into two sections:

Data Interpretation: 30 questions in 25 minutes

Verbal Reasoning: 25 questions in 19 minutes

This round tested my analytical and reasoning skills. The results were declared later that day, and I was among the few selected for the technical interview.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The technical interview was a thorough assessment of both my coding and project knowledge.

Self-Introduction:

I introduced myself by highlighting key achievements, including winning a hackathon, and focused on my proficiency in Java. I emphasized my leadership roles in projects, particularly my experience in leading a team during a hackathon.

Non-Resume Screening:

The interviewer paid close attention to every point I mentioned in my introduction, ensuring I was confident and knowledgeable about what I shared.

Live Coding Round:

I was asked to implement a collection class using a HashMap. The interviewer then delved into topics like:

How collisions are handled in HashMap and the internal workings of buckets.

Differences between final, finally, and finalize.

Understanding of string pool concepts and how to manage memory with string objects.

Writing code to demonstrate the four pillars of OOP using real-world examples like a car system.

I also faced some project-related questions where I had to explain the real-time applicability of my project. For parts I wasn’t involved in, I clarified my specific contributions to the team effort.

The technical round lasted for about 45 minutes, and I managed to explain all the questions satisfactorily.

Round 4: HR Interview

Immediately after the technical round, I was scheduled for the HR interview the next day.

The HR interview was a pleasant experience, with the interviewer asking typical questions:

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

How do you handle team conflicts?

What motivates you to move to Bangalore?

How would you handle a situation where you don’t get your desired role?

The HR interview lasted about 10 minutes, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.

Results:

After an anxious wait of two days, the final results were announced. Out of 500 students, 120 cleared the first round, 4 made it to the technical interview, and ultimately, I was the only one selected!

It was an amazing experience, and I’m grateful to have received the offer from Amadeus. The interview process was challenging, but it allowed me to showcase my skills and abilities.
