I applied through the Amazon Career Portal, and after a few days, I received an email inviting me to the Online Assessment (OA). I had no prior communication with HR throughout the process—everything was automated, with updates coming via email from a no-reply address or LoopScheduler, which meant I couldn’t ask any questions or clarify interview expectations
I was asked 2 DSA Question
Q1: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/problems/burning-tree/1
Q2: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/problems/overlapping-intervals--170633/1
He asked me 2-3 behavioral questions and then asked me to design a parking lot (yeah, I was being interviewed for a fresher role). I told him that I thought this interview would focus on DSA questions since it was for a fresher position. He replied, "I'm just testing your problem-solving skills," and we went ahead with the design. The interviewer was helpful throughout.
Verdict: REJECTED, because I didn't perform well in Round 2. I wasn't expecting design-based questions, so I didn't brush up on my OOP concepts and struggled to think in terms of system design.
Throughout the process, I didn't have contacts of HR. I never received any calls from HR. All my updates came via email from a no-reply address or LoopScheduler, so I couldn't ask any questions or clarify what the interviews would be about.
