Recently, I had the opportunity to sit for Capgemini's Exceller Software Engineer 2026 Batch on campus process and below is my experience in all the rounds.
This round was online and to be taken from our respective homes. It consisted of MCQs in Grammar, Business communication writing, and Fill in the blanks, which were really easy. In the spoken English part, it was reading and repeating, hearing and repeating, speaking on a given topic, and conversation-based questions.
This round will be pretty easy if one doesn't get distracted in the spoken round.
In like 4 days almost we got an email for the final assessment (with the above 3 rounds as mentioned in the title) that took place in our college on the cocubes platform. The first round was technical, which had 40 questions consisting of pseudocode and scenario-based questions for IT fundamentals in topics like Databases, Computer Networks, and Cloud Computing. This round was an elimination round.
In our time, the coding round is compulsory, unlike previous years. We had 2 questions. If someone can solve questions partially, they are eligible for an A4 analyst. If one can solve 1 question fully, they are eligible for an A4(P) analyst. If one can solve both questions, they are eligible for the A5 role of Senior Software Engineer.
The cognitive round had some puzzle-based games to play (make sure to stay focused!), and lastly, we had behaviour-based questions.
My interview took place offline. I was mostly asked a mix of technical and behavioural. My interviewer and I talked about my projects, AI and its impact in today's world, and some questions based on information in my resume + intro. I also got asked about overcoming a tough time in my life and about what my ultimate goal is in life.
I got the offer! For the assessments, make sure you study CS fundamentals, practice topics like Arrays, Strings, etc for coding. For the interview, thoroughly go through every detail mentioned in your resume. I hope my experience helps someone!
