Deloitte India Interview Experience | ADMM Analyst | Full Time

Last Updated : 23 Dec, 2024

In September, Deloitte India visited our campus for recruitment, offering 7 Analyst roles across various domains, including Marketing and Management, HRT, Oracle & SAP, and others. I applied for the ADMM Analyst (Application and Data Modernization and Migration) role.

Here’s a breakdown of my recruitment journey, which spanned over three days.

Day 1: Online Assessment

The first round was an online test with three sections, each containing 20 questions:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Verbal Ability
  3. Technical Section (Covered CS fundamentals like DBMS, OS, CN, Python, OOPS, and Pseudocode)

Difficulty Level:

  • Quants and Verbal: Easy
  • Technical: Easy to Medium

Verdict: CLEARED

We received the shortlist for the next round the evening before the interviews.

Day 2: Group Discussion, Panel Interview, and Partner Interview

1. Group Discussion (GD):

  • Shortlisted Candidates: 75 (for my role)
  • Process:
    • Groups of 12 were formed, and each group joined a virtual meeting with a panelist.
    • We were given a topic, had 15 minutes to discuss, and then each participant got 1 minute to summarize their points.

Challenges:

The online format made the discussion phase chaotic, with only 4–5 members able to actively contribute. I was one of those unable to participate fully. However, the concluding phase leveled the playing field as the panelist judged each candidate on the uniqueness of their points and articulation during the summary.

Verdict: CLEARED
Results were announced within an hour.

2. Panel Interview:

  • Shortlisted Candidates: 41
  • Process:
My interview was postponed twice due to scheduling delays, resulting in a wait of about 3 hours. When it finally began, the interviewer focused on my resume, discussing:
    • My projects
    • My internships
    • What I had learned from them

Questions:

  • Basic CS fundamentals (questions varied for each candidate).
  • Some candidates were asked to code, though my interview didn’t include coding.

Duration: 20 minutes
Verdict: CLEARED

3. Partner Interview:

  • Shortlisted Candidates: 24
  • Process:
Groups of 3 were invited to a meeting with one of Deloitte India’s partners. This was the most relaxed round and felt more like a casual conversation.

Discussion Points:

  • General Conversation: Experiences so far and life in the hostel.
  • Individual Introductions: Overview of resumes, hobbies, and interests.
  • Role Insights: The partner provided details about the ADMM Analyst role and a glimpse into a typical day at Deloitte.

The atmosphere was informal, and the discussion was enjoyable, making it a pleasant conclusion to the process.

Final Results

After a one-day gap, the final results were announced. Out of all the candidates, 21 Analysts were selected for the ADMM role, and I was thrilled to be one of them!

Tips for Future Aspirants

  1. Know Your Resume: Be thorough with your projects, internships, and skills.
  2. Master CS Fundamentals: Revise key concepts like DBMS, OS, CN, and OOPS.
  3. Group Discussion: Focus on presenting unique points clearly and confidently, especially during the summary.
  4. Stay Relaxed and Engaged: The Partner Interview is more about your personality than technical knowledge.

The recruitment process with Deloitte India was a great learning experience. For anyone preparing for a Deloitte interview, focus on your fundamentals, stay confident, and most importantly, enjoy the journey!
