The Fractal OA consisted of three sections:
1. Aptitude
2. Data Interpretation
3. Communication
The difficulty level of each subsequent question increased if the previous answers were correct. As a result, the full marks varied for each candidate, and the final result was based on the percentage scored, not the absolute marks .About 20 students were shortlisted for the interviews.
The interviewer started by asking me to introduce myself. Then, I was given some coding tasks to write in Python, which included:
Printing the Fibonacci sequence.
Checking whether a number is prime.
Next, I was asked a puzzle involving three switches and three bulbs.
The interview then moved to DBMS concepts, where I was asked about:
Normalization, its types, pros and cons ,etc.
Some SQL questions based on concepts like joins.
Finally, I was asked a few behavioral questions:
My strengths and weaknesses.
The debate between smart work vs. hard work: which one I prefer and what a company should seek in an employee.
At the end, the interviewer asked if I had any questions, and I asked a few.
Interview 2: HR (15 minutes)
The interviewer began by introducing herself, and then I introduced myself. She asked me:
What I knew about the company and its work.
Why I wanted to join the company.
She also asked me to explain a project she pointed out from my resume, along with a few other HR questions. These included:
Whether I was willing to relocate ?
Will I go for higher studies ?
Where do I see myself in 5 years ?
At the end, she asked if I had any questions, and I asked a few again.
Final Verdict:
I was selected. About 5 were selected .
