IIIT Kota Web Development Guidance Program Interview Experience

It was during my first year at IIIT Kota College, shortly after I joined college, that the club activities began. A guidance program was initiated where we were asked to choose a field according to our interests. I chose web development. They suggested that I watch a lecture on HTML and CSS within two weeks, after which an interview would be held to determine eligibility for the full guidance program.

Process of their examination:

First, they provided a Google form with 10 questions each on CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to initially select 25 students out of 50. After that, an interview would be held three days later, from which only 10 students would be selected. I passed the first test with the Google form, which had very simple questions.

The interview:

They called everyone to come into a room one by one. After waiting for an hour, it was my turn. While waiting, there were about 10 of us, and we started showing each other our results, which led to some new friendships. When my turn came, I went inside, greeted the interviewers, and introduced myself.

Questions they asked:

1. What is 'justify-content`?

2. Is the`img tag inline or block?

3. Can you explain the CSS grid?

4. Create a layout using Flexbox.

5. A question about JavaScript.

I answered 4 questions correctly. Then, I discussed my problem with understanding English lectures, as it was challenging for me. They suggested some Hindi YouTube channels to help me study and improve my learning.
