One of my close friend recently got selected for the Infosys Specialist Programmer role (9 LPA) through off-campus hiring. I’m sharing this interview experience so that it can help students who are preparing for this role.

Application Mode

Off-campus application

Shortlisting was based on the online coding test

Round 1: Online Coding Test

A total of 3 coding questions

Each question carried 100 marks

Difficulty level: Medium to Hard

Focus areas:

Problem-solving skills

Logic building

Time and space complexity

After clearing this round, the candidate was shortlisted for the technical + HR interview.

Round 2: Technical + HR Interview

The interviewer focused mainly on Python fundamentals, Data Structures, and Algorithms.

Python Concepts

Sets (properties, use cases)

Dictionaries (key-value operations, real-time examples)

Data Structures

Stack (operations, applications)

Queue (types, real-time examples)

Algorithms

Linear Search

Binary Search

Merge Sort (working and time complexity)

Questions were mostly concept-based, with emphasis on clarity and understanding rather than just definitions.

After successfully clearing both rounds, my friend received the offer for Infosys Specialist Programmer with a 9 LPA package šŸŽ‰
