My Infosys Off-Campus Interview Experience – Specialist Programmer L2. As a final-year BTech student at NIT Agartala (Civil Engineering), I seized the opportunity to apply for Infosys' off-campus drive for the Specialist Programmer L2 role. The journey was challenging yet rewarding, and I'm excited to share my experience.
How I Received the Interview Call?
I am a final-year BTech student at NIT Agartala from the Civil Engineering department. Infosys conducted an off-campus drive for national colleges for the roles of:
- Specialist Programmer L1 (9.5 LPA)
- Specialist Programmer L2 (13 LPA)
- DSE (6.5 LPA)
I applied for this drive on 7th December 2024 and was shortlisted for the Online Assessment (OA).
Recruitment Process Overview
- Online Assessment
- Technical Round (1 Round)
Round 1: Online Assessment
- I applied on 7th Dec and OA was conducted on 15th Dec.
- It consisted of 3 questions and 180 minutes.2 medium and 1 hard question was asked. You should be very well versed with data to solve these questions as these are quite hard. I have solved all 3 questions under 1.5 hr.
Round 2: Technical Round
- The Result of the Online Assessment was released on the 8th of January and I was shortlisted for the interview for the L2 role.
- The interview was conducted on 6th Feb I was notified 8-9 days before the interview. my interview location was Kolkata's new town office.
- The interviewer Jumped straight into DSA he threw me 2 medium-level DSA problems I was supposed to code on leetcode so it took me around 40 min to explain and code both problems. The questions are the following ones.

- then he asked me a few questions related to one of my projects which is based on image processing and I couldn't answer those questions.
- Then he asked to solve a medium-level SQL problem from leetcode the link to the problem is given below. I have stated the correct approach but I forgot the syntax of the case statement so I wasn't able to code it correctly.

- then he asked me some basic API-related questions and 2 system design problems.
- The first problem is related to the singleton design pattern.
- And second problem is related to the interface segregation principle.
- Then some basic questions related to cloud, and socket because I have used these in one of my projects.
- The whole duration of the interview is around 1.5 hrs.
Post-Interview Reflections:
- The interviewer suggested I work on databases more closely and told me my problem-solving skills are quite good.
- Then we had some discussion on company culture and his experience so far in the company.
Additional Information:
- The final result was released on 6th March and I was selected I was quite happy at that moment.
Final Outcome
- Don't Write anything in your resume you can't explain be well prepared with the topics you write in your resume.
