Ion Group visited our college for campus placements in August 2024. The selection process involved several elimination rounds before securing the job. Here's a detailed overview of each round:
1st Round: Online Assessment (OA)
The first round was an online assessment comprising multiple-choice questions (MCQs) focused on computer basics. It also included a coding section with Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems.
2nd Round: Technical Interview
This was an online interview with a technical panel.
- The interviewer reviewed my resume and asked questions related to my projects and internships.
- I was also asked questions on fundamental computer science topics, including DBMS, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks.
- Additionally, I was given three puzzles to solve:
- 3 Bulbs and 3 Switches Puzzle
- Heaven and Hell Puzzle
- Poison and Rats Puzzle
3rd Round: Case Study
This round took place immediately after the technical interview, in the same meeting, upon clearing the first interview.
- I was provided a case study and given ample time to read and jot down key points.
- Once I finished, the interviewer asked questions based on the case study. This round primarily assessed my problem-solving abilities and situational handling skills.
4th Round: Stakeholder Interview
- This was another online interview round. The interviewer thoroughly examined my resume, asking detailed questions about my projects and how they could be expanded in the future.
- I was also questioned about Ion Group, my understanding of the job role, and how I could contribute to the organisation.
5th round: Group discussion(GD)
Candidates who cleared the fourth round were invited to the Noida office for an offline interview with the Country Head.
- This round involved a group discussion, where we were asked questions related to teamwork, problem-solving, and basic personal introductions.
6th round: Future Fit interview
The results of the fifth round were announced within a day, and the final round was conducted online within a week.
- This interview lasted 15–20 minutes and focused on questions about my resume and understanding of the job role.
- The primary objective was to assess my potential and alignment with future roles at Ion Group.
The results were announced the following day, marking the end of the selection process.
