We had 3 coding questions of medium-hard level and 75 min duration to solve. The test was on-campus and people who solved around 2 or more were shortlisted for interview.
anyone who had cgpa above 7 and belonged to circuit branches were allowed to write test
Round 2: Technical round
around 35 people were selected for technical round and the interview went for about 1.5 hours
they asked low level system design question, they asked to make a cab booking system and implement around 10 basic functions related to that system using oops concepts. We had to code the functions and also test if it is working as intended.
The interviewer was friendly and was debugging code along with me and I was able to implement almost all of them.
Round 3: Hr/Technical round
around 10 people were selected for hr round and the interview went for about 1 hour
The interviewer was very knowledgeable and asked in depth about all the projects I had mentioned in my resume and asked why I used that tech stack instead of the alternatives and also asked some use cases of the project. He also checked the github code and asked few questions on that.
He also asked if I could optimize the code I had written for the 3 questions on my online assessment and made me write pseudo code of that problem.
Also asked some real scenario questions like in meesho there is a sale and only few products 'x' are available but the number of people 'y' who want it is very large. How do you ensure that there are exactly x purchases and that no 2 people should match to same product and so on.
this was more of a technical round and only 1 hr question was asked. The hr question was what would you do if u were given a project that would take a week but after 3-4 days your supervisor tells you that the entire approach is wrong and you need to start from scratch, how will you handle that situation?
They selected 4 people at the end for full-time SDE-1 role
