Round 1: Merilytics Data Engineer-1 (2024) Interview Experience - On-Campus

The interview process consisted of two rounds, each lasting 15 minutes.

Aptitude Round

• Duration: 15 minutes
• Questions: 15 questions

Technical Round

• Topics covered included SQL, DBMS, Pseudo Codes, and Python (Easy to Medium difficulty).

Round 2: Virtual Round

The Zoom meeting link was sent to our emails, and the interview began once we joined the meeting. This round was divided into two segments.

Round 2.1

The interviewer asked me to introduce myself and discuss my skills and technologies, which guided the direction of the interview. I mentioned my knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), highlighted my problem-solving skills, and explained my project.

Coding Questions:

1. Given an array like [1, 2, 3, 4, 5], return the cumulative sum (prefix sum) like [1, 3, 6, 10, 15].
2. Find the length of the longest substring without repeating characters.

Round 2.2

In this round, the interviewer inquired about my branch of study. I mentioned Cyber Security, and the questions revolved around that field.

The interview then concluded.

Verdict: Rejected

Outcomes:

• Although I stated my branch as Cyber Security, I struggled to provide basic definitions when asked by the interviewer. I suggest focusing your self-introduction on skills you are confident in.
