Monocept Interview Experience

Last Updated : 5 Aug, 2024

It was my first interview with a company, and I hadn't gone through any mock interviews prior. Despite my lack of experience, I drew upon my soft skills classes, advice from seniors, and insights from blogs to guide me through the process.

I was shortlisted through a CodeChef contest for a JAVA developer role, though I had forgotten about my application and the specific role.

There were two rounds of interviews. The first one is the technical and if you pass the technical round then only you can appear in the HR round.

Despite my nervousness, the technical interview proceeded smoothly, with questions aimed at assessing fundamental knowledge. Although I made some mistakes due to my nerves, I managed to navigate through the questions adequately.

First Round

In the technical round basic first a pen-paper test was organized. In the pen-paper test, 5 DSA problems were asked in which we had to answer 3, the topics were related to array, string, sorting, and linked list. 15 other questions were also asked in the same, out of which we have to answer 5, questions related to OOPs (JAVA), HTML, CSS, JS, and a self-introduction in about 200 words. In the face-to-face interview again basic DSA problems were asked and some development questions were also asked.

HR Round

In the HR round, introduction, about source of my motivation and 2 to 3 other HR related questions were asked.

After the technical interview, the HR round started and all my nervousness was vanished and it went very well.

The result of the interview was not announced at that point of time. I talked to 2-3 employees of that comapny and they told me that if a candidate in getting the chance to appear in the hr round then there is a high possibility of getting selected.

But I was not selected as I am currently in my third year of b. tech and they weren't keen to select a third year college going student (as told by my college alumini who was working in that same company).

This opportunity gave me good learnings and taking care of the experience now I shall do more preparations according to it.
