Mphasis Interview Experience || Associate software Engineer || Full time

Last Updated : 23 Dec, 2024

I applied for a position at Mphasis through campus placements in December 2023. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process and my experience.

Round 1: Aptitude Test

The first round was an Aptitude Test covering:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Programming
  • Computer Science Fundamentals

Out of all the participants, around 200 students were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2: Technical Interview

The second round was a Technical Interview, where the questions focused on the content of our resumes and fundamental concepts. Here are some examples of the questions I was asked:

  1. Write any SQL query.
  2. What are the 4 pillars of OOPS?
  3. Explain DFS (Depth First Search).
  4. Why do you prefer C++?

This round primarily tested our understanding of basic concepts and the ability to explain them clearly.

Round 3: HR Interview

The final round was an HR Interview. It consisted of general questions such as:

  1. What do you know about Mphasis?
  2. What are your hobbies?

The HR round evaluated our personality, communication skills, and cultural fit for the organization.

Preparation Tips

  1. Resume Preparation:
    • Be well-prepared to answer questions about everything you’ve listed on your resume.
    • Carry 2-3 hard copies of your resume with you.
  2. Research the Company:
    • Learn about Mphasis’s founding year, founder, CEO, and headquarters.
    • Familiarize yourself with the company’s core services and recent achievements.
  3. Ask Questions:
    • Prepare 1-2 thoughtful questions to ask the interviewer at the end, such as about growth opportunities or workplace culture.
  4. Professional Attire:
    • Dress neatly and professionally for the interview.

Final Thoughts

The placement process with Mphasis was straightforward and well-structured. My biggest takeaway was the importance of being well-prepared, confident, and professional. Best of luck to anyone preparing for similar opportunities!
