My Background & Motivation:
I completed my BCA from Midnapore College (Autonomous). During my final year, I received job opportunities from multiple MNCs such as TCS and Wipro. However, instead of joining immediately, I consciously chose to pursue MCA to build stronger technical depth and unlock better long-term career opportunities.
For students in West Bengal, JECA is the gateway to MCA, and I decided to give it my full focus.
Challenges I Faced During Preparation
- The biggest challenges were not about studying, but about studying smartly:
- Choosing the right YouTube playlists
There is an overload of content online. Deciding which playlist is sufficientâand avoiding time wasted hopping between multiple sourcesâwas difficult. - Time allocation per topic
How much time should I give to one topic?
When should I move on instead of over-perfecting? - MCQ confusion
Another common doubt was: How many MCQs are enough?
When does practice become productive versus repetitive? - I overcame these challenges by setting clear limitsâtime-bound study schedules and MCQ targets for each topic.
