Hi everyone, here is my JEE exam experience focusing on the real exam-day environment, thoughts during the paper, and actual attempt strategy.
My exam centre was around 1 hour away from home, so I went with my parents. After reaching, students were allowed inside the college premises and had to stand in long queues for ID and admit card verification. The process was strict and time-consuming, so reaching early helped reduce stress.
As soon as the exam started, the timer created instant pressure.
At the beginning, those 2–3 hours felt very long and the pressure was real. A lot of thoughts started running in my mind —
When I received the paper, I was so nervous that for the first few minutes I couldn’t even focus properly. It felt like I was reading questions but not understanding them fully.
But after attempting a few questions, I slowly settled down, regained confidence, and got into the flow.
I started with Chemistry as it was my strongest subject.
Then I moved to Mathematics:
Finally, I attempted Physics:
Initially, time felt slow due to nervousness, but once I got into the flow, the 3 hours passed very quickly, and I didn’t realize when the exam ended.
Overall level: Moderate
Chemistry: Mostly scoring with some tricky questions
Maths: Lengthy
Physics: Moderate
Final Advice
JEE is not about studying more, it’s about studying smart.
