How it Started!
As a mid COVID batch, I did not get more hands on learning in my last 2 years of engineering. I was a theory lover. My corporate journey started with an interview in C language. I leaned python and python framework in Internship and then I started my role as a software developer.
After Entering in Tech World!
In starting i struggle to solve given problems and find it difficult to understand how code works internally, how I should build requirements which the client needs. Many times I felt that coding is not my cup of tea, i choose the wrong field and all. But i persisted and today i am thankful to myself and my mentors who have supported me so that I did not give up coding. It’s all about practice and familiarity. Also I am thankful to my environment in which i learned and grew up professionally as well as personally.
Problems…. & What I do to Overcome!
In starting every developer felt frustrated and overwhelmed by coding but trust me once you keep consistency and be patient you also start to understand coding and enjoy debugging.
keep 2 3 mentors who can help you and motivate you while you are down that helps a lot. They may not solve your problem, but they can boost your confidence and help to be positive cause they may have gone through phases which you are facing right now.
Breaking the Loopholes!
Sometimes it happens that some bugs or errors take time to debug but unfortunately we can’t find its solution. common mistake which i made that i was not able to forgot one flow which I followed once. It stays back of my mind and i can not able to debug or solve it with some other perspective and end up with loop, the same thing. Lastly frustration came and chain of negative thought start. Sometimes it affect that extent that in night while sleeping i keep remembering that flow which leds to sleep disturbance and heavy day afterwards.
My father helped me to solve that. He always used to say that leave all office thoughts at the door step of your office. Don’t bring them at home. In starting i find it difficult to do that. But i kept myself busy in things which i have interest in and which can help me grow myself internally and give me happiness. Once chain breaks of thoughts i was able to do this. And now if i encounter a situation like this i can move out of that chain and divert my mind. Surprisingly many times it happens that if I leave something at night which i could not solve that is being solved in the morning with a fresh start with erased flow.
Some of the key points which i feel that helped me to improve.
These tips may help someone in their initial stage of coding journey. I myself still sick for guidance and feel burnout sometimes and finding new ways to keep going. But it is the process of learning, the process of becoming a better version of the self.
