Nice Systems Interview Experience | On-campus| 2024

Recently, NICE visited my campus with the role of Associate Software Engineer.

Eligibility Criteria: Degree in CS/IT, Minimum Grade/Percentage – 60% and above or CGPA 6.5 throughout the academic career.

170 Students applied.

Selection Process:

  • Online Test
  • Technical Interview
  • HR + Managerial Interview

Online Test

An Online test was conducted on the Interview Mocha “https://www.imocha.io/%E2%80%9D platform. The duration of the test was 100 minutes. There were 7 sections. The test had a negative marking.

  1. Quantitative Aptitude (15 MCQ’s, 10mins.)
  2. Java (6 MCQ’s, 10 mins.)
  3. DBMS (6 MCQ’s, 10mins.)
  4. Data Structures Round (1 Code, 25 mins.) (Any coding language)
  5. Java Coding Round (1 Code, 25 mins.) (Code can be done only in Java)

Technical Interview

Around 41 Students were shortlisted for this round. I was asked the following Questions in my technical round:

  1. What is OOPS?
  2. What are 4 pillars of OOPS?
  3. What is Encapsulation?
  4. Real use of Encapsulation.
  5. What is multithreading lifecycle?
  6. Difference between DML and DDL.
  7. What is difference between Process and Thread?
  8. Explain your projects.
  9. A SQL query on Joins with aggregate function
  10. Difference between DELETE, DROP and TRUNCATE
  11. Why finally is used after Try and Catch? What is the real need in programming?
  12. A coding question, in which i was given a string and asked to display the number of vowels and consonants.
    1. eg: String s = "I am Mitali";
    2. Output :
      1. Vowels = 4
      2. Consonants = 5

Around 21 students went to HR+Managerial Round, I was one among them. The interview was taken by senior members of the company. It was more towards techincal than behavorial.

HR + Managerial Round

  1. Tell your projects
  2. Why have you used MongoDb and not Mysql?
  3. Why have used React.js and not any other? Whats special about react?
  4. Who all are there in your family? What does your father do?
  5. Where do you belong to?
  6. What did you hear about Nice from your seniors?
  7. Design a hashmap with "Mitali" as class and define its data members and member functions (insert, remove, search). (After hearing my answer he was impressed and may be i won there : ) )
  8. Have you worked on cloud?
  9. What do you know about cloud?

At last he asked me if I had any questions. I asked him "What will we be doing as interns if you are going to provide us training after internship to work for your company? ". To which he said that's a good question.

Finally, out of 21, 7 were selected and I was one among them. They preferrd previously interned to some company condidates more but I had 0 experience still they were impressed by my knowledge and selected me.
