Optum (UHG) Interview Experience for Internship

Optum visited our Campus (NIT Silchar) for FTE and Internship roles in Aug 2019. The process consists of 3 rounds:

1. Online Test: Conducted on CoCubes
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview

First Round (Online Test): The platform was CoCubes and the time allotted was 1Hr (30 min for MCQ + 30 min for Coding questions). There were 30MCQs + 2 Coding Questions MCQ level - Easy/ Moderate consist of Logical Reasoning, Numerical Analysis, and Verbal Reasoning.

Coding Questions:  

1. Find day of the week for a given date
2. It was a simple maths formula based question.

20 students had been shortlisted for further round. Of course, I was one of them.

Second Round (Technical Interview): Time duration for this round was 45min

The interview started with the interviewer introducing himself followed by my introduction. After my brief introduction, he asked me about my internship experience and projects.

Then he asked me some basic questions from Oops such as Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Virtual Function, etc.

Then he asked me about sorting algorithms and some basic Data Structure questions and finally asked me to write Merge Sort Code on paper.

14 Students were shortlisted for HR Round.

Third Round (HR Interview):

1. Introduce yourself.
2. Family background.
3. Why Optum?
4. Tell me about your weakness and strength?
