Greetings of the day. I just got the opportunity to interview for the Onboarding Consultant role at Pando.ai. Although, I didn't get selected, I thought to share my experience with everyone.
I submitted my resume (shoutout to overleaf for their amazing templates), and it got shortlisted.
All the shortlisted students had to appear the online test that consisted of three sections:
- Aptitude
- Reasoning
- Verbal English
From this round, every interaction was with the Pando.ai's team and was conducted physically.
In this round, a group of 7 to 10 students were assigned to a member of Pando.ai's team.
A topic was given and then we were told to start discussing it among our group members.
We had a time limit of 30 minutes.
This was the very first interview of Pando.ai and basic HR questions were asked such as:
- Why do you think Pando.ai is the company for you?
- Why do you want to opt out of tech background?
- How do you deal with failures?
- What are your three goals?
- What do you think about your university and do you think it's providing you enough opportunities?
In my resume, I had done projects on ML, and had mentioned microservices, so they asked about that as well. They further asked me questions about the societies I had joined in my university.
This round was virtual as the interviewer was not in our campus yet. He asked me questions such as:
- What do you know about the company?
- What will be your role in it?
- Say you were given a task. You completed it but there was disparity with your manager regarding this. - How will you solve it?
- Till this point in your life, what did you learn and how are you implementing it?
This was a 5 minute informal interview where they asked if I was okay to shift for work, why did I want to join Pando, and what was one thing I absolutely couldn't/wouldn't do?
Overall it was a nice learning experience. The team from Pando.ai that had come was very patient and open minded regarding our answers.
