Persistent Systems Ltd. Interview Experience For Martian Intership (2022)

It is a learning-based internship program conducted every year by Persistent Systems Limited. The program teaches Java/C++/Python, Data Structures, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, and Database Management Systems. The program also offers job interviews if you successfully pass the program.

Selection criteria for the Internship and other details:

• Minimum percentage requirement in 10th / 12th/ UG – 60% above
• Graduation: BE/ B.Tech 3rd year only CS and IT.
• Duration: 5 weeks learning journey
• Stipend: NIL
• Internship Mode: Virtual
• PPO: Post internship students will undergo assessment followed by a technical interview based on which PPO will be released.

Selection process of the internship program

Before enrollment in the foundation courses, they conduct an exam on the SHL platform. Test duration is of 1hr 45mins. The exam is divided into two parts:

• Aptitude (Duration: 1hr)
• Coding Round - two questions (Duration: 45mins)

After passing the SHL test. They will conduct an introduction session. Throughout the program, they will focus on your foundations covering the following subjects:

1. Java/C++/Python (Any one)
2. Data Structures
3. Computer Networks
4. Operating Systems
5. Database Maangement System

After covering all these topics, they will again conduct an exam on SHL covering all these topics along with two coding questions. The level of coding questions varies from Medium to Hard. If successfully pass the exam, candidates are given an internship certificate and interview offer.

Pre-Placement Offer:

Round 1: (Technical Interview-1)

It was the first round where interviewer asked about myself and then gave two coding questions.

1. Given an array of length N, bring all 0s to the front of the array.
2. Design an SQL schema for Employee Management System and insert data.

I solved all these problems then interviewer asked basic questions from first question and basic questions from DBMS.

Round 2: (Technical Interview-2)

After the completion of Round 1, I was selected for the second round that was Technical Interview-2 or L2. Again, the interviewer asked the following questions:

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Interviewer shared the screen on SHL and asked a coding question.
3. Asked simple aptitude questions.
4. Asked questions on MySQL.

Round 3: (HR Interview)

After the completion of Round 2, I was selected for the last round i.e., HR Interview. I was very happy as it was my first company where I went till HR round. The interviewer was very frank and amazing. There was no language of only speaking professionally and in English only.

The interviewer asked me these following questions:

1. Tell me about yourself. (He asked me this question just for formalities)
2. About my hobbies.
3. He selected me in that moment and asked me to select the location.
4. Do you have any question?

After HR interview, I waited for 2-3 weeks and final
