Quality Engineering Analyst Interview Experience at Infosys

Hello everyone, I got an opportunity to give an interview at Infosys as a Quality Analyst. It is a Service based company. The Interview went very well, and I cleared each round confidently.

How I Received the Interview Call

I received the interview opportunity through LinkedIn, where I applied for the Quality Engineering Analyst role at Infosys. After an initial screening, I was shortlisted for the technical rounds.

Recruitment Process Overview

• Initial Screening
• Technical Round
• Managerial Round

Round 1: Initial Screening (Background Check & Skill Assessment)

This was a 60-minute session conducted on Teams. The focus was on background verification and an assessment of my experience and skills in quality assurance.

Key Questions:

• Can you walk us through your experience with quality assurance methodologies?
• What testing tools have you used, and how proficient are you in them?

Obstacles: Nervousness made it challenging to articulate some of my experiences clearly.

Round 2: Technical Round (Hands-on Testing Skills & Framework Knowledge)

This round was conducted via video call and lasted for 1 hour. The focus was on hands-on testing skills and knowledge of frameworks, specifically automated testing.

Key Questions:

• Describe a complex bug you found and how you reported it.
• Can you discuss your experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium?

Obstacles: Had difficulty recalling specific details of past projects under time pressure, which affected my confidence.

Round 3: Managerial Round (Team Fit & Alignment with Company Values)

This was a 45-minute video interview. The focus was on evaluating team fit and alignment with Infosys' values.

Key Questions:

• How do you prioritize testing tasks in a fast-paced environment?
• Tell us about a time you had to work closely with developers to improve product quality.

Obstacles: Some situational questions required deeper examples that I needed a moment to recall.

Final Outcome:

The interview process was thorough, with a good balance of technical, behavioural, and situational questions. The company seemed to have a positive and collaborative culture. I’m optimistic about the outcome and look forward to the next steps, which include a technical assessment within the next week.
