SAP ON-CAMPUS INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
SAP visited our campus in September. So, initially, we submitted our database to the TNP Cell and then got the email for Online Assessment Link. The Online Assessment happened on Hackerrank Platform where we were supposed to solve 2 DSA Questions in 45 minutes timing. The questions were Leetcode Easy- Medium level. I was able to solve both the questions in 15 minutes and then submitted the test. Questions were related to Stacks, Arrays, strings.
I was bit confident that I can get shortlisted for the Interviews. So, I sent connection request to some of my seniors who were already placed in SAP LABS. I asked them what all SAP asks in the interviews. Then, on 17th September, 2023 I received a list which was having my name for the interviews.
The first technical interview was 1 hour long. The interview started with introduction of Interviewer, he told about his work area and then asked me to introduce myself. I already prepared the introduction, so I started with my name and told them about my one of the best project which is having live users. I also told them about my hobbies, my area of interests and tech stacks. Then he started asking out my Live project (my own website), he asked various questions like how you deployed it, what was the reason you chose this project, how you handled responsiveness in the website ? I was also asked CSS Grid, flexbox, animation related questions. Then he asked one of GFG Top 100 Puzzles - Measure 4L using given 3 Buckets (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/aptitude/puzzle-measure-4l-using-given-3-buckets/)
He also asked a question related to Binary search. Firstly he asked what is the criteria of using Binary search and then I was supposed to write the code of Binary Search Algorithm. I told him time complexity, wrote the complete code and he was satisfied with my code. I explained the role of each and every function I was using. Then he asked DBMS, OOPS questions like - What are various types of inheritance, what is paging, ACID properties, some basic SQL Queries. There was discussion in the end on my resume also. Then he asked me if I am having any question, I said yes sir, I want to ask if I get selected what kind of projects I would be assigned ? He explained in very polite way and then interview finished.
I was very nervous because this was 1st Interview of my life. I thought I will not move forward in 2nd round, but fortunately, I received 2nd Technical Interview Link.
This interview was of 45 minutes and it started with Interviewer introduction and then he asked me to introduce myself. He started questioning from OOPS Fundamentals - what are 4 pillar of oops, what is benefit of abstraction, what is polymorphism and DBMS - ACID Properties, Normalization, types of Keys. He also gave a puzzle to solve - 8 Balls Problem (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/aptitude/puzzle-8-balls-problem/). I told him the approach and he was satisfied. My seniors suggested me to solve GFG Top 100 Puzzles for Internships and they really helped me.
Even, for OOPS, DBMS, Computer Networks, Operating Systems I made the notes from Geeks for Geeks. 2nd technical interview was almost same as 1st one, in both of the interviews I was asked CS Fundamentals, DSA, Projects and Resume.
After waiting for 4 hours, I received HR Interview link. I was just about to close the laptop and the link arrived. HR was really humble, she first asked how I am, then started her introduction and asked me to give my Intro. She asked behavioral questions like- Why SAP, my strength, weakness, something that's not written in my resume but I want to tell her. In the last she asked my CGPA and then the interview ended.
I reached home at 6pm and by 7pm I received the list of 8 Interns who were selected for Summer Internship and luckily I was one of them. Thank you Geeks for Geeks for publishing so much informative articles on CS Fundamentals, Puzzles, HR related questions.
