TCS Interview Experience | NQT Prime

In this article, I want to share my TCS NQT prime interview Experience hoping it will be helpful for many people.

First you need to register on TCS Nextstep portal and apply for the drive. Then TCS will send the details regarding exam to your email. TCS NQT exam contains aptitude and coding. Based on this exam results you will get selected for the interview. In our batch, TCS is offering 3 roles , Ninja, Digital, Prime.

I got selected for a prime interview in TCS NQT off-campus drive and the Interview wad done in July month 2024.

Interview details:

You need to carry the application form which can be downloaded from the nextstep portal and all semester marksheets and required documents to the interview center. The interview panel will verify the documents.

There are 3 rounds in the interview TR round(Technical Round), MR round(Managerial Round), and HR Round.

TR & MR Round:

1) Introduce Yourself and include your family details do you have any siblings? (MR asked this question)

2) Which language are you comfortable with for coding? (MR asked this question) [ I told you I will use C for data structures and Python for problem-solving. So the Mr told you to have good knowledge of what you are good at. So During interviews clearly mention what you are good at]

I have mentioned c, Python, and java fundamentals, SQL in my resume.

From here all questions are asked by TR

3) what is boxing and out boxing?

4) Do you know about oops? Explain OOP's and oops concepts?

5) Explain Inheritance Concept?

6) Write Code for Inheritance (Multiple Inheritance)? after completion of writing the code they asked me to explain the code I wrote.

7) What is Call by Value and Call by reference?

8) Difference between Procedural Language and structured Language?

9) What is static keyword?

10) Do you know SQL , then what is delete ?

11) Difference between Delete and drop statement?

12) Write a query to drop the column in a row?

13) What is Normalization?

14) SQL Views?

15) SQL Indexes?

MR Questions

1) What is my role in the projects i have mentioned in Resume?

2) Internship duties and what have you done in your internship period?

3) My internship is ETL developer so he asked me the full form of ETL?

4) What do you know about TCS?

5) Why do you want to Join TCS?

6) Discussion on one of my internships.

After Completion of TR & MR Round, they will ask you to wait outside. If you got selected in this round, HR round will be conducted.

I was selected for HR Interview.

HR Questions?

1) Introduce yourself

2) Hand your application form , he cross checked my Registration Number in application form.

3) Inter and 10th class marksheets were asked and checked my scores if i have mentioned correctly in application

4) Completed all semesters? Have any backlogs?

5) Aadhar Card Number cross checked .

6) why do you want to join TCS?

7) Are you willing for any shifts, any location ?

8) Do you have any questions for me?

This is my interview experience. Hope this is helpful . If you have any upcoming interviews, Don't get stressed and know all the basic concepts of the skills you have mentioned in resume, prepare briefly about projects and internships if any. Mention only the tech stack you know about in skills otherwise it will leave a bad impression on Interview panel.
