Tech Mahindra came to our campus for a recruitment drive so I participated in this drive. There were 4 different rounds for this drive which I have explained below.
The written test was divided into four sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Technical Knowledge and the duration of this test was 90 minutes.
Quantitative Aptitude included questions on arithmetic, algebra, and data interpretation. Logical Reasoning tested problem-solving skills through puzzles and pattern recognition. Verbal Ability focused on grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary. The Technical section included basic questions related to programming and computer science fundamentals.
Tip: Regular practice with aptitude test books and online mock tests helped in managing time and improving accuracy. For the technical part, revising core concepts and practising coding problems were crucial.
The technical interview was an in-depth assessment of technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. The interviewer asked about my academic projects, followed by technical questions on data structures, algorithms, databases, and programming languages. There were also coding challenges, such as reversing a linked list and solving array-based problems. Below are some questions he asked me:
Tip: Review core subjects, practice coding regularly on platforms like GeeksForGeeks and HackerRank and be ready to explain your thought process clearly.
The HR interview focused on personality traits, fit for the company, and future aspirations. Questions revolved around my background, strengths, weaknesses, career goals, and reasons for choosing Tech Mahindra. They also asked situational questions to gauge my problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Tip: Research about company’s values, culture and recent developments. Be honest and self-aware while discussing strengths and weaknesses. Prepare answers for common HR questions and practice articulating your thoughts confidently.
