Hello Everyone! I interviewed with Walmart through their on-campus recruitment drive for a software engineering role. The process included multiple rounds that tested my technical skills, problem-solving, and behavioural traits. Here’s a brief overview of my experience.

How do I receive the Interview Call?

The interview opportunity came through an on-campus recruitment drive, and I was shortlisted after submitting my resume.

Recruitment Process Overview

  4. Managerial Round

Round 1: Initial Screening

  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Method: Online assessment on Hirepro
  • Focus: Operating Systems, DBMS, OOPS, DSA

Key Questions:

  • MCQs on OS, DBMS, OOPS, and DSA
  • 2 Coding Questions

Round 2: Technical Interview 1

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Method: Online Virtual
  • Focus: DSA, Project, OOPS

Key questions:

The interviewer asked 2 DSA questions:

  • https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/dsa/maximum-size-rectangle-binary-sub-matrix-1s/ This was the first question.
  • The second problem was the modified version of Kadanes' algorithm, in which the max sum should be less than k.
  • Asked questions on my project and oops in Java. asked about the diamond problem in java and multiple inheritence.

Round 3: Technical Interview 2

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Method: Online Virtual
  • Focus: DSA, OS, OOPS

Key Questions:

  • Modified version of Dijkstra’s algorithm to find the route from a source to a destination station with multiple trains in between. Each train has a start and end destination, arrival time, and departure time.
  • Asked questions on Operating Systems.
  • Questions on SOLID Principles in OOPS.

Round 4: Managerial Round

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Method: Online Virtual
  • Focus: Behavioral, Team Leadership

Key Questions:

  • Questions focused on my previous internship and projects.
  • A lot of behavioral questions and questions on team leadership
