Wells Fargo visited our college offering an Intern Analyst role for the Summer of 2025. Eligibility: 6 CGPA+

A total of 380 students were shortlisted for the Online Assessment Test.
Online Assessment:
Platform: SHL Amcat
This section comprised four parts:
- Verbal Assessment: 12 questions to be solved in 15 minutes. Questions were based on comprehension and filling in appropriate words in a sentence, testing our English skills at a moderate level.
- Business Interpretation: 15 questions to be solved in 25 minutes. Questions were based on various graphs and charts. Candidates had to analyze them properly and answer the questions. There were candlestick graphs, pie charts, and other business-related charts. Tip: Take some time to analyze it properly; this way, you won't have to repeatedly check it for every question. Revise basic formulas related to Venn diagrams, profit, and loss, etc.
- Coding: 2 coding questions in 40 minutes. Everyone had different questions based on arrays and string manipulation. Difficulty level was easy to medium. Time was a crucial factor. I passed 12/12 test cases for the first question and 15/17 test cases for the second question.
- One separate coding question in 10 minutes: This was generally a question based on logic and mathematics, requiring no specific data structure. I passed 1/3 test cases.
Tip for Online Assessment: You cannot move back and forth between questions. Attempt accordingly. Time management is crucial, so don't waste too much time on a single question.
Out of 380 students, 27 were shortlisted for interviews.
Interview Round 1: Technical
Duration: 1 hour
- The interviewer asked about my extracurricular activities to make me feel comfortable.
- Coding Problem 1: Search for an element in an unsorted and sorted matrix (use different approaches for both).
- Coding Problem 2: Sort an n x n matrix (row-wise and column-wise).
- Discussed projects in detail and their future scope.
- Answered 4-5 MySQL queries on all types of joins.
- Explained client-server architecture in DBMS.
- Questions for the interviewer.
Interview Round 2: Technical
Duration: 45 minutes
- Discussed APIs and how to integrate them.
- Questions on Java Servlets.
- Explained Java Bean class.
- Discussed unit testing in software engineering.
- Factors to consider when deciding between RDBMS and NoSQL.
- Asked to design a database system for my DSA project.
- In-depth questions about NoSQL (all application-based with many follow-up questions on my answers).
- Discussed system logs in DBMS and Java files.
- Explained static classes and their uses.
- Discussed garbage collection in Java.
- Asked if I read tech articles and news; I said yes. He asked me to mention 5 startups in India and 3 technology-related news items.

Tip: Don't just read the theory of DBMS; understand every concept in detail and why we are doing what we are doing. This way, you can tackle application-based questions. Even if you don't know certain answers, it's fine—just try to give it a shot. They typically check your approach and thinking, and how much effort you put in.
Interview Round 3: HR
Duration: 20 minutes
- Family background.
- How I manage studies and all my extracurricular activities (since I had many).
- Follow-up questions on my achievements.
- Discussed my ML project since it intrigued her—asked about parameters we considered.
- Asked about my social and networking skills.
- Questions for the interviewer.
Overall, we talked a lot since both of us were very talkative.
Verdict: SELECTED!
