24 October 2024. Off-campus placement drive - No cpi criteria
Contained 25 MCQ and 2 easy-medium coding questions to solve in 2hrs. It was easy and almost every person who know aptitude and coding can clear this round easily.
They invited us to Ahmedabad Silver Oak University College to take a pen-paper written coding test. We need to solve 10ques in 3hrs. First 2 ques were child's play like 1st semester level ques, next 5-6 ques were like if you have invested your time in learning coding, you can solve them easily. The hardest ques was ques no 10, it was to find height of an n-ary tree, it's on leetcode. I was able to solve all the 10 questions. One problem which I faced was, am a java person, I am not so comfortable in c++, but all the ques were from c++ in 2nd round. And one more thing, a silly mistake I did in ques no 1. So my ques no 1, I did wrong. Overall 6-7 ques from it were easy, some were medium. Note: One need to solve at least 7-8 ques properly to clear this round.
They invited us to another college at Ahmedabad. I liked my interviewer too much. His sense of asking and listening were saving me to get any panic during interview. Ya but he was like giving me mental torcher by asking ques back to back - back to back. I can not imagine he asked me 10-12 OOPS ques then 10-12 DSA ques, then some DBMS theory ques and then writing SQL query as well, so many things in just "half an hour". Let me tell you I was mentally tired after the 4th DSA ques itself. All ques were easy medium ques some of them are present on leetcode as well. I was able to solve all the questions he asked. But in 1 OOPS ques I had stuck, he gave me hint and then I did it correct, and in 3-4 DSA ques as well first attempt I did it wrong and then he corrected me and gave me hint and then i did it correct in second attempt, rest of the DSA ques i had solved in 1attempt. All the DSA ques I was writing on paper in front of them.
Some more thoughts - In my whole BTech life I focused on my development, did a couple of paid internships, made many apps, even 1yr IIT Delhi app dev internship. I even had apps on google play store with 100s of downloads but unfortunately till yet, projects and internships never helped me in getting placement. I learnt many experiences by them but their contribution in bringing placement is zero for me which I don't like. Interviewers never asked me about my internships and project till yet.
