The aspirants will have to go through the various rounds, aka Physical Standards Test (PET)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET), written test, trade test, and Medical Examination for their final selection for Assam Rifles Group B & C posts.

The Assam Rifles written exam is to be conducted in offline mode and will be objective type in nature, having 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
The written exam will have 4 different sections - English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and General Awareness; Each section has 25 questions with equal weightage, aka each question being of 1 mark.

There is no mention of negative marking in the Assam Rifles written exam.
The minimum passing mark for General/EWS candidates is 35% and the minimum passing mark for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 33%.
NCC certificate holders are provisionally given incentive marks which are added to the normal scores of candidates; However the benefit to NCC certificate holders is only given on production of the original certificate supporting their claims during document verification.
Trade/Skill Test
Technical and Tradesmen personnel (other than Clerks & PA) have to undergo a trade test after the successful completion of the written test, which is qualifying in nature.
Only after the clearing of the trade test will the candidates go through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).
It is expected that the Clerks & PA will have to undergo the trade test after the completion of the PET/PST.
