My Work Experience with L&T EduTech

Last Updated : 2 Apr, 2026

In today’s rapidly evolving tech world, gaining practical exposure beyond classroom learning is essential. As part of my academic journey, I had the opportunity to undergo an industry-oriented training programme offered by L&T EduTech.

This article shares my work experience during the course “Hands-on Cyber Physical Systems for Industrial Applications”, where I explored real-world applications of modern technologies like automation, IoT, and system integration.

About the Program

The training was conducted under the CollegeConnect initiative by Larsen & Toubro, focusing on industry-relevant skills.

Program Details:

  • Duration: 30 August 2025 – 26 September 2025
  • Mode: Hands-on + Conceptual Learning
  • Outcome: Successfully completed with First Class

My Role and Learning Approach

During this program, I actively participated in both theoretical sessions and practical activities. My focus was on understanding how software interacts with physical systems in real-time environments.

I approached the course with:

  • Curiosity to explore industrial systems
  • Focus on practical understanding
  • Active participation in hands-on tasks
  • Technical Work and Concepts Explored

🔹 1. Cyber Physical Systems (CPS)

I learned about Cyber-Physical Systems, where physical devices and software systems work together.

Key Components:

  • Sensors → Data collection
  • Controllers → Processing
  • Actuators → Execution

🔹 2. Industrial Automation

The course introduced real-world industrial applications:

  • Automated systems
  • Smart manufacturing processes
  • Reduced human intervention

🔹 3. IoT Integration

One of the key highlights was understanding how devices communicate using IoT:

  • Real-time data monitoring
  • Remote system control
  • Network-based communication

🔹 4. Real-Time System Behavior

I explored how systems:

  • Respond instantly to inputs
  • Maintain stability using feedback loops
  • Handle dynamic conditions

🔹 5. Security in Industrial Systems

Basic concepts of securing systems were discussed:

  • Preventing unauthorized access
  • Ensuring safe communication
  • Protecting critical infrastructure
  • Hands-on Experience
  • This program was not just theoretical—it included practical exposure, which made learning more effective.

Activities I Worked On:

  • Understanding sensor-based systems
  • Observing system responses in real-time
  • Analyzing how inputs affect outputs
  • This helped me connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications.

Skills Gained

Through this experience, I developed:

  • Understanding of Cyber Physical Systems
  • Basics of Industrial Automation
  • Knowledge of IoT systems
  • Real-time problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of system security

Challenges Faced

  • Initially understanding the integration of hardware and software
  • Adapting to practical-based learning
  • Interpreting real-time system responses
  • How This Experience Helped Me
  • This experience gave me:
  • Exposure to industry-level concepts
  • Confidence in handling real-world problems
  • Better understanding of modern technologies
  • It helped me move from theoretical learning to practical understanding.

Key Takeaways

  • Practical exposure is essential for technical growth
