Work Experience at Precision Wire India Limited, Silvassa

Last Updated : 15 Apr, 2026

After completing my HSC exams, while most students were enjoying their vacation, my situation was different. I decided to work for a few months to support my engineering admission fees. This led me to my first work experience at Precision Wire India Limited, Silvassa.

About the Company

Precision Wire India Limited is a manufacturing company that produces copper winding wires used in motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment.

My Role and Responsibilities

I worked as a helper and was involved in multiple departments:

  • Assisted in production-related tasks
  • Helped in packing and material handling
  • Worked near machines under supervision
  • Supported senior workers and team leaders

Since I was not a permanent worker, I was assigned different tasks regularly and followed instructions carefully.

Working Hours and Routine

  • Working time: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Lunch break: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Earning: approximately ₹450 per day

After a full day of work, I still studied for around 2 hours every night, which was challenging but important.

Challenges I Faced

  • Physical tiredness after long working hours
  • Adjusting to a new environment at my uncle’s home
  • Managing daily travel by cycle (around 2 km) for lunch

Despite these challenges, I remained consistent in both work and study.

What I Learned

  • Value of money and hard work
  • Discipline and responsibility
  • Respect for every type of work
  • Time management between job and study

This experience made me mentally stronger and more focused.

Why This Experience Matters

The money I earned helped me pay my engineering admission fees. It gave me a proud feeling that I contributed to my own education.

Advice for Students

  • Do not hesitate to work if needed
  • Every type of work teaches something valuable
  • Stay consistent even with limited time
  • Accept your situation and give your best effort

Conclusion

This experience taught me that no work is small. With consistency and dedication, difficult situations can become opportunities for growth.
