ABOUT GMCLA's ANNUAL GALA

GMCLA’s Annual Gala has raised funds for youth education, including our Alive Music Project, countless community concerts, and vital programming that we provide for free.

The 2026 Gala evening begins with GMCLA’s performance of Declarations of Independence – a musical tribute to some of the most important protest songs and anthems in a remarkable celebration of nation, community, and pride as the U.S. turns 250. Immediately following the concert, gala guests will be treated to a lively dinner, Voice Awards presentation, and auction in the historic and beautifully restored Art Deco lobby of the Saban Theatre.

JOHN OTTMAN

John Ottman is an Academy Award-winning film editor, acclaimed composer, and producer, holding a unique status in Hollywood for his multi-hyphenate mastery. For over three decades, John has not only written the scores for 35 films, but has frequently pulled "triple duty" as editor, composer, and producer on major blockbusters. Notably, he independently guided the post-production course of Bohemian Rhapsody without a director present, ultimately winning the Oscar, BAFTA, and ACE Eddie Award for Best Film Editing. Revered as a premier storyteller, this jack-of-all-trades recently revamped the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, and is currently set to direct the biographical drama Billy & Me.

GMCLA is excited to present John Ottman our Voice Award as an out and proud Academy Award-winning film editor, acclaimed composer, and producer, holding a unique status in Hollywood for his multi-hyphenate mastery.

JORDAN LUCAS

Jordan Lucas is a rising collegiate volleyball player at Cal State Northridge, known for his athleticism, competitive edge, and strong on-court presence. As a dedicated student-athlete, Jordan brings discipline, consistency, and leadership to every match, making him a standout in the NCAA volleyball landscape.
Off the court, he is building a growing digital presence that authentically connects with a Gen Z audience through sports, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes content. With a focus on performance, recovery, and personal growth, Jordan is well-positioned to partner with brands looking to align with emerging athletic talent and an engaged, sports-driven audience.
