At 454 years old, Harrow School is well-known as one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the world. Situated in the idyllic setting of Harrow-on-the-Hill, the School is set in over 300 acres of beautiful grounds with views over London.

For over 30 years, Harrow School Short Courses has welcomed boys and girls aged nine to 17 from more than 45 countries on residential courses over the summer to improve their English whilst immersing themselves in the full British boarding school experience.

Students on our summer courses also take part in some of the best activities and excursions in the UK, often making friends and memories for life. Our professional team works around the clock to care for our students, ensuring Harrow becomes a home away from home for the time that they are with us. Our fees are fully inclusive, with no hidden costs from the point of arrival until the point of departure.

Harrow School is an iconic educational institution with a global reputation. Its main campus is situated in over 300 acres of beautiful grounds in London and the original School celebrated its 450th anniversary in 2022.

Notable alumni include seven former British prime ministers, among them Winston Churchill; actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Edward Fox; musician James Blunt; screenwriter and film director Richard Curtis; poet Lord Byron; five monarchs, including King Hussein of Jordan; India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru; military commanders such as Sir Peter de la Billière; and current England rugby union players Billy Vunipola and Maro Itoje.

At Summer School boys and girls are fully immersed in the Harrow experience, from staying in one of the 12 famous boarding houses to exploring the historic buildings where films such as Harry Potter were shot. Harrow School boasts an impressive heated indoor pool, sports hall, tennis courts, theatres and a school farm.

Students are accommodated in single or twin rooms with shared bathrooms in a Harrow School boarding house. Each house has its own beautifully landscaped gardens and recreational facilities, such as a five-a-side football pitch or basketball court.
