Problem summary
Under very rare circumstances the JIT may partially patch an instruction. This can result in a segmentation fault caused by invalid instruction; however, the coredump/debugger would show such instruction is valid.
Problem conclusion
Memory fences and cache-line flashes were missing on x86-32 when patching certain instruction. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR5 FP11 (8.0.5.11) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
