Error description
Error Message: A GPF event is received when Java is trying to walk the Java stack. . Stack Trace: This is the native stack trace: #12 <signal handler called> #13 iterateStackTrace #14 getStackTrace #15 Java_java_lang_J9VMInternals_getStackTrace .
Local fix
This issue can be worked around using the -Xshareclasses:none to disable the shared classes cache.
Problem summary
The problem is caused when the wrong J9Class pointer is retrieved from the wrong class loader.
Problem conclusion
The JVM has been updated to ensure the correct J9Class pointer is retrieved from the proper class loader. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR6 FP20 (8.0.6.20) .
