Problem summary
RTFReader does not support character encoding by using "\fcharset control word". "\'hh" (which is a hexadecimal value, based on the specified character set) is converted by ansicpg1252 instead of "font character set".
Problem conclusion
The implementation related to support character encoding by using "\fcharset control word" has been done in RTFReader and RTFEditor. The following "font character set" are included :- Hebrew EastEurope Thai Russian Baltic Arabic Vietnamese Turkish Greek Chinese Johab Hangul . This APAR will be fixed in the following Releases: . IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition 8 SR8 FP10 (8.0.8.10) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
